Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

You know, make you feel wrong to have the stuff they can use then want it cheap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Revenge?

LOL
OH it's thick...............
headed
yea, a few of you have provided research but only a true idiot will actually BUY BUY BUY !
Come on, have you ever seen a Turbo Muffler with Cats? Let along held it up in the back of your car and thought...... ****!! this thing is totally wrong!! NOW WHAT!
maybe Rennlist can help.........
NAW they just make fun of you - DUMBASS
awe man, I have a gut ache from laughing
No, wait! This could be good! Think about it. Ed is our very own Einstein! He does stuff none of us either has the imagination or the guts (or the money) to try. He is totally out on the edge. He experiments with things we would never consider (and why would we?). And we owe him a HUGE debt of gratitude.
This book could, if actually written, keep all of us scoffers from making a huge mistake. Ed is a one-man Un-Consumer Reports for 996 owners. He makes certain by actual trial and (frequent) error that 15" 5-spoke 70's vintage Fuchs alloys will NOT fit your 996 or even look good, even with the 40MM spacers. And he does it willingly and with his own money. No advertising, no product analysis, and unfettered by the thought process or good taste.
Ed, YOU are Da-Man! Keep up the good (?) work.
1) People can read it at work!
2) It does not break any Rennlist rules (yet)
3) It's good fun at
YOUR
expense
4) See # 3
5) It's stimulating the economy
6) This promotes world peace
7) Perhaps it will inspire a sequel to the book
8) This thread could save 996 owners millions!
9) Nobody has mentioned IMS or RMS!
10) See # 3
BAWHAHAHAHAH!
Marc, this gets my vote for
"996 Forum Thread of the Year!"
Ed, does the book have a chapter on buying multiples of items that don't fit?
This is better than President Obama's stimulus package. Once a week, everyone in the USA should buy one item they don't need or can't use. The resession would be gone in less than 90 days!
It's more encyclopedia than biography.
What it's not showing is the inside cover that lists hundreds of contributors who helped amass this body of information through their own efforts and personal research on their own cars. Ed merely stepped into a vacuum of leadership. Screenplay to follow. When sold, Ed will just smile as he passes us in his CGT.
ivangene this could be a major blowing smoke manuever to lower prices before they just by chance ask for an inventory of items you'ld like to sell. Prices do always seem to rise. You know, make you feel wrong to have the stuff they can use then want it cheap. Along with any price hit them with a warehousing fee and high shipping and handling fee
yah we have all seen that one. Good luck surving the torture.
you..... awe..... yea, you couldn't let this just die?
sweet
look in the FS section....just sold a set of MKI headlights... didnt fit? thought they were H3's
Chapter 3-After you have accumulated lots of parts that don't fit your water cooled Porsche....buy an air cooled version and start buying parts that won't fit it either...
