I really wanted the Artic Silver, even though there's a bunch of those running around here.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was at Brumos yesterday and found a really nice '02 C4S. 4k miles(that car hasn't been driven enough), all options including hidden radar. I know the sales manager and he said 67.6 was my price. He states this price includes the fact it's Porsche Certified for 100k miles or 2 more years after the factory balance. Thoughts..??? Phattey

POST 2Original post

when a sales manager has to defend a price then it's usually too high How much does book say?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Don't know yet...I'll look it up a little later...

POST 4Original post

WOW!! I just checked Edmunds. My car, 2002 C4S, AS with advanced technics and supple leather, Porsche certified, would sell for $74,910.00!!! And I just paid less than half that for it a week ago as residual from the lease. Where are the doomsayers now about 996 resale values and never buy new? HAH!!!!

POST 5Original post

Unfortunately Edmunds or KBB don't buy the cars, people and dealers do. I'd say your trade-in value is prob $60K and private sale real number is $64-65K. Nevertheless, you've got one helluva car

POST 6Original post

Nice car, go for it, turn that garage queen loose!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So it sounds like P certified and these low miles...67.6 might not be too high..???

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmmm...I don't know if there's a catch.... I bought a '00 C4 Cab from this same dealership 2 years ago with 8k miles and other goodies.. Perhaps it's because I'm a return customer..??!! I don't know. I'd thought 67.6 was a little high and was hoping to get in around 64...but as I look through sales sites...64 is kinda a fantasy especially with 4k miles on this car... I really like it and want it, but I'm still a little "unsure" of the color...Meridian. I really wanted the Artic Silver, even though there's a bunch of those running around here. The Meridain is rare, but I've always been a little shy of gold cars...and it looks gold to me. Phattey...

POST 10Original post

Maybe that's it. Color. I'm not a fancier of either Meridian nor Natural Brown leather, and I suppose it doesn't appeal to as many people, and that's why it's sellling at a good buyers price. Dealer probably sensed your hesitation on the color ,too. And, yes, return customers get bigger discounts, especially if you have all of your car service done at the dealership. If the color combo does not bother you, get it. Before you sign on the dotted line, though, mention to the dealer about your preference for arctic silver, then offer to pay 64K for the meridian. If you don't ask, you don't get.
