Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, i'm shopping for a 2001 or 2002 used C2 coupe and I'm wondering what kind of service costs i need to expect if i buy a car with under 40K miles on it. Assuming all regular scheduled maintenance has been up to par thus far, what should I expect to pay for sheduled services for the next couple years? How much are break replacements and oil changes on these? (and any other type of maintenance i might be forgetting) Thanks so much! -Ryan

POST 2Original post

From what I can figure, the price differs somewhat between dealers. Why not call your local dealer that you would use and ask them? Also, go with the 2002 with the 20 more hp!

POST 3Original post

Two things....First, as Darren said, pick up the phone and call around. Second, join a couple boards to take advantage of the wealth of DIY knowledge. Most would agree that this site and Loren's site (renntech.org) are probably the most frequented. Especially Loren's site for tech knowledge. There are many things you can DIY (like oil changes, brakes, filters, etc.) and nothing feels better than working on your P-Car, not to mention the extra cash in the pocket! Use that extra cash to buy your little lady something nice. FYI....you can interpret lady as you significant other OR the P-Car. I will warn you though....hanging on this board can cost some $$$ after all the mods you will end up doing!
