Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I drove a buddies 2002 996 today, same as mine, and I'll be damned if her pedal didn't feel *way* harder than mine. How do your pedals feel, hard, medium, soft? I reckon a good bleeding will sort things out.

POST 2Original post

I will say mines feels progressive (with SS lines).... not hard at all.

POST 3Original post

+1 on the bleeding. However, check to see if there's water in the brake booster, that could potentially harden things up pretty good

POST 5Original post

once you bleed it it will be quite hard. Use a motive bleeder if you do it yourself. what is most interesting is that you have a female "buddy" driving a 996!

Interesting indeed. What's more, I met her when she bought the car from me a couple years ago. There's another girl with a 996 that hangs around with the club. I've only met her once though, so can't be asking her to drive her car yet. I'm setting up to bleed my brakes next weekend, we'll see what happens after that.
