For those with a 40th anniversary car or know the answer: Is the base stereo system in the 40th anniversary car (i.e. a car that doesn't have the Bose high end sound package upgrade) also an indash CD player stereo or is it only an in dash cassette player stereo? Does the base stereo system (non-Bose upgrade) also have the capability to have the 6 CD changer installed? Thanks again to those with the 40th anniv. cars that are answering my questions. Trying to identify a basic car as I may not want or need comfort seats, wiper, PCM, or Bose package. Thanks Marc LA

That was my choice. No fluff options. Its a single in dash CD. Storage is in dash for spare CDs if you dont have navigtion system. I dont know if its upgradable but for a price anything can be done. Heck you can probably rip it out and replace with after market too. I think its just fine. I wanted a sports car, not an audio studio on wheels. But then I tend not to listen to much more than the sounds the car makes. I have the rear wiper on the 993 C4S, its a waste, never used it. If youre driving fast enough, Rain-X will keep anything clear.

Agreed, nicest music comes from car and the mechanicals of handling the road. Basic music needed for long stretches of freeway if needed. Glad it has in-dash CD as the online description of features on the car for the online inventory online mentions AM/FM in dash cassette (argh!). Regards, Marc LA 95M3
