I have noticed no difference in cooling or downforce but I'm certain that both have improved with it.

I would like to research the possibilities of changing out the front bumper on my 02 996 to that of the C4s or Turbo one that has the large scoops on each side. I do not have an aero kit, nor do I want one. I just want to know if it is feasable and (economical?) My exterior paint is arctic silver, can I buy one painted, and is it relatively simple to install? Thanks in advance.

I would like any information on the bumper switch as well. My switch is more for track usage, downforce and cooling. I have a 99' 996 in arctic silver.

Have a look at my imagestation pics. I did it myself. I have noticed no difference in cooling or downforce but I'm certain that both have improved with it. As far as those small things to be aware of: 1- the non-turbo re-bar has to be cut by about 1.5" on each side (easy with a hack saw) 2- the non-turbo lower fender liners need to be trimmed just a tiny bit 3- My X51 centre rad is different size than the turbo's centre rad so the rubber gasket that surrounds it had to be modified (nothing to do if you don't have a centre rad) Eveything else was very straight-forward.

Will eventually put a GT2 style bumper on my 01 but will use the one with center entry air ducting up and over the bonnet for additional downforce.
