Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would position my seat the way I like it, and set the memory, but when ever I would lock it, then unlock it it would reposition its self to some realllly weird position.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want my driver's seat in the lowest position and I even have a stored position in the memory to keep it in the low position, but everytime I come back to my car the seat has risen back to the high position! My knees hit the steering wheel and it's such a pain to have to reposition the seat to the low position. I can't find an answer to this problem in the owner's manual. Does anybody know of a solution?

POST 2Original post

Have you re-programmed your key? The keys are individually programmable to remember different seat positions when you unlock the car (one for your key, one for your wife's, etc.). It's an additional step beyond storing a position in memory (should be in the manual). I bought my car from someone really tall. Took a couple days to figure out why the seat kept moving waaaaaay back.

POST 3Original post

I was having the same exact problem with my car. I would position my seat the way I like it, and set the memory, but when ever I would lock it, then unlock it it would reposition its self to some realllly weird position. I took my car into the dealer and they said it was a problem with the computer . They had to order one from Germany and replace the one I had. My car was sitting at the dealership, waiting for the part to come in for a whole week .
