This is not a probability of success.

I've seen that paperwoork and everything looked good - they only had to replace the rear hatch latch.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Thanks to all who chimed in yesterday on my "Deal Evaluation Time" post. It helps to settle the mind when you're plunking down good money! I did a lot of research and 5 months of looking and you all have been the best. I'll be a member next week when I pick it up. Here's a link to the ebay auction. I made a deal behind the scenes since I'd been talking to the dealership for a while.

Background for those interested:
They've had the car since Nov. and it was originally listed at $49.9. I'm getting it for $44.5. 1 owner in NC with regular service. VIN checked with my local P-car dealer and no major warranty work done. Carfax had 1 accident report: "12/04/2002 North Carolina Police Report Accident Reported in Granville County Involving a left front impact with a tree Minor damage reported". They, define MINOR: The accident damage does not affect the operation of the vehicle. Examples include dented bumpers, fenders, grills and body panels. This level of accident should not compromise vehicle safety." It is not Salvage Title. I know I may be taking the risk that its all ok, but I will scrutinize everything when I see it.

Thanks again all!
congrats on finding a car.
This is personal preference, but I think the Targa (and most 996's) look good with side skirts. They're easy to add aftermarket. Just trying to spend some more money for you!
WHOAH, nice color, Congratulation on your new targa car... oes targa means you can remove the roof-top and the car becomes "convertible" sort of speak??? Sorry I am also new to this P-car family :-)
Cheers,
