Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

they still need the 'man in the street' test I think.
Leading evidence: 'Test i think' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test i think' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Months ago I emailed Top Gear to tell them
a) To make their 'Star in reasonably priced car' feature more relevant they needed to have control studies.
I suggested
1. They have F1 drivers try out. This would show them how quickly the best drivers did it, and would give the 'star/driver ability' relative status against this.
2. They needed to have a 'non-celebrity' drive the track. ie. Myself. This would give the 'driver ability/star' relative measure against my non-celebrity status.
I never heard a peep from them, but hey presto a few months later they had a great idea ' lets invite F1 drivers to have a go'.
Im pissed that some junior researcher will have got a pat on the back for their idea, Im pissed I didnt get a go. Im most pissed about the fact no-one replied to the email...

Well, that sucks. I agree that it's a great idea that I didn't think of, but...it doesn't seem to be outside of the realm of possibilities that they thought of it on their own. Being in Los Angeles, I hear people say things all the time just like you: "I had an idea for a movie plot and pitched it, but I got turned down and then a studio did it." Maybe they'll still bring you in to compete against the F1 drivers...
sorry you did not get on TV.
if you sent them an idea, they did not 'steal it'...
you gave it to them.
you also assume (and perhaps rightlfully so) that they had not thought of that themselves 2 years ago and finally got around to it.
you mights be right, but then again.
Maybe they didnt think of it.
even so, a reply email would have been nice.
It bugs me that in the days of light speed comms, people dont reply to (valid) emails.
they still need the 'man in the street' test I think.
they should get a bunch of P-car owners and a bunch of 'othermake' and let them duke it out.
