Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to run the 9" width rear wheel on the front of my 2004 996. Is the offset the same or good enough to fit? They are the stock 17" wheels and I use them on the track.

POST 2Original post

What car is the 9" wheel stock to? Not the 2004 996... What's the offset on it?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good question. I think it is off of the 99 996.

POST 4Original post

The rear wheels on a '99 996 weren't 9", they were 10". I don't know the last 911 with 9" rear wheels on it, maybe the 964?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

these are what i have wheels

POST 6Original post

The offset is not correct. I put one of these on the front of my car after it got a flat, and it stuck out of the wheel well. It worked ok to get home, but not correct.

POST 7Original post

The description on their site is incorrect: Introduced as optional on 1997 Boxster; standard on 996 from 1999-2001 The width is correct for the Boxster, but not for the 996. You can get that design on the 996 but the rear wheel is 10".
