I ran 10s on low boost and with bent rods but what can we do now I wonder?

Anyways enough babbling for now, normal service is resumed:P I'm going to get back to figuring out what it'll take to make this heavy pig of a 996TT run better than 10s.

The funny thing about the article was that it just so happened that the editor got to see what is arguably the fastest 6 speed 996TT, the fastest convertible 996TT and then the fastest chicktronic 996TT all in the same place at the same time (running examples anyways!).

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi folks and fellow Rennlisters!
I'm pleased to announce that our new shop, Shark Werks
www.sharkwerks.com
, is now up and running and by the same token are really happy to be supporters of Rennlist (I've learned so much here and met so many people!). We will be taking our experience in owning 996TT's/996s and specializing only on 996/997s. It's mostly because of the local Bay Area Porsche owners that we're doing this and so we thank you for your support and encouragement. The same goes for some very well known folks in the industry that have been very kind with advice, words of encouragement and support- like Todd, Kevin, Stephen (the doc), Mike and many more guys. I've gotten to know many of you Bay Area Rennlisters over the past 3-4 years especially locally on drives and other Porsche events and more recently from Akkurat. Although we left some months ago, I'm happy to say that those of you that came for Evolution Motorsports and GIAC tuning and upgrades can continue to do so at our new home in Fremont, right off of the 880 and the Automall Exit. Our site is being done up as I type but for now we have
www.sharkwerks.com
up and running and all comments/feedback is most welcome. Hopefully see you folks as much as before, even if I'm going to be knee deep in suspension, brakes, turbos, intakes etc... and burning the midnight oil.
Anyways enough babbling for now, normal service is resumed:P I'm going to get back to figuring out what it'll take to make this heavy pig of a 996TT run better than 10s. Todd @ EVO has some fun stuff planned for the car so we shall see....
Thanks for listening and putting up with me drag racing the 996TT!
Thanks for the kind words
Well I know where you're coming from... my wifey said the same thing at 600HP... Now it's at 900 dammit. Wifey does come first. She wears the pants and everything in my house. **** the car was originally hers too. The 3.4L flash is really pretty nifty. The 3.6L doesn't get you as much since it's already wound pretty tight and you really need the intake to see benefits.
OK bay area folks... you've seen our humble lil' home for the past little while but have been asking where the slow, black, girilie tiptronic is- well just like Buddy's car, she's coming home soon along with some new tricks up her sleeve. If all goes well she should be back here tonight and after a couple of lil' showings/show type of stuff it's back to business. Watch this space soon for another fun magazine piece done in Arizona with Todd's 6speed version of the same thing and of course Mana's yellow convertible thingy. The funny thing about the article was that it just so happened that the editor got to see what is arguably the fastest 6 speed 996TT, the fastest convertible 996TT and then the fastest chicktronic 996TT all in the same place at the same time (running examples anyways!).
So with that in mind I'm obviously going to go to the drag strip very soon. I ran 10s on low boost and with bent rods but what can we do now I wonder? I know Tommy's down, who else wants to go to Sacramento.. we should get a few of us together and just head up there on a Saturday!
This is a pic from the shoot...
