Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bet the bumper was resprayed and a flex agent for the paint wasn't used causing the paint to be vulnerable to rock chips.

Also when high speed off road gravel or a mix of loose rock and dirt can squirt in front of the car then the air drag has you running into what got pushed into the air.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I saw this gt3 bumper for sale on craigslist, it is really badly chipped from many track miles, I wonder if that will be a problem when I bring it to the paint shop ? or that is nothing more than a little bit more prep work ?
Phil
track miles don't typically do that.. unless you are talking about a dirt track. Race tracks are "clean" except for rubber pieces from tires. The marks that you see can probably be attested to tailgating people on the highway especially in the winter where rocks/hard salt is placed on the ground...
The guy told me it was track miles but now that you mention it, I wonder how so much impact happened... this guy must have been doing a thousand miles behind a truck full of rock or something..weird..
I wonder if I should bother with this oem or simply buy a duraflex for $100 more on ebay

The guy probably always driving to work when extra lanes are made on a road making the dirty section of the road from the previous day available to trash the car. I learned quick about city bus drivers doing express runs stirring up fast lane fringe rocks. Even just the aerodynamics sucks the rocks up like a giant sand blaster. In short, nightmare.

Good luck getting satisfaction wit the work. Anything can be fixed. Just will the sander and painter have it together to make a good fix.

This happened to me after my dad resprayed and the paint guy selling the paint said flex agent wasn't needed. Well, he was dead wrong.
It didn't take long to look like those pics.
If you drive a couple of three day DEs or a race at Pocono your bumper, headlights and windshield would look like that. Dirtest track we run in Northeast. Bridghampton used to be close, but now it's a golf course.
