Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a double din unit and I'm using the Pioneer trim which is satin black.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
I'm looking to install a PCCM Plus clone in my '99 996. Like all the early cars, I have the granite grey trim and in my case graphite grey leather. I believe part 996.552.131.05.EJK (centre console mounting frame) for cars originally with option code M662 (NAV) is required. However, when I called my local dealer here in Ontario, they advised that the part is no longer available. It seems odd that the part isn't available when it is specifically referenced in the recent (relatively) PCCM Plus installation instructions.
Has anyone been able to order this part, or am I just so late to the double DIN conversion game that they are all sold out?
Jeff
I ordered the double dim for my 99 directly from my local dealer in early 2022 so it was available then. Granite grey like you. I need to see if can find the invoice to verify the part number. I installed the PCCM +.

99655213105A03 Is the part I ordered. It was perfect for install. It was $179 back in March 2022. Looks to still be available but add $75 to what paid or more.
Joey
Thanks. I think that's the black one.
I tried two different dealers and they both said the same thing so I guess granite grey is indeed no longer available for the early cars. I'll be forced to go the Dremel route which despite being much cheaper, isn't my preferred solution as it violates my view that mods should be fully reversible.

Yes, 996-552-131-05-EJK is the correct part. Porsche Delaware (my usual vendor) shows it as discontinued but Porsche Chandler (Arizona) shows it available so Im not sure.
Could always get interior paint and color-match to Granite Grey.
I am sporting the granite grey interior as well. I have a double din unit and I'm using the Pioneer trim which is satin black. Since there is other black interior parts it blends right in. I notice every little flaw in things like this and I hadn't considered a different part /color because it looks smooth.
