All, I'm looking for a 996 C4S. I have some questions in regards to pricing. I hadn't really considered looking on kbb to get a "guideline" on pricing. But today as I was waiting for my wife, I downloaded the kbb app on my iPhone. I was shocked to see what the prices kbb was quoting for a C4S vs. what craigslist, ebay, dealers, etc were asking. Is there a disconnect here or are pricing in kbb very conservative? (I once owned an E30M3, so the kbb prices for that was not the same as the market was dictating -- but that was a really limited edition car as well.) Are most people selling and buying their cars for more than kbb prices? Case in point, I looked up a '02 C4S on kbb and the "excellent" private party price was ~$31k. Dealer retail was $35k. I've seen private parties asking for more than this $35k "guide." Just curious as to people's thoughts on this. Also, do people think much more depreciation in the 996?

Check TMV (true market value) in Edmunds.com web sitẹ I found the TMV in Edmunds is more reflect a fair market value. About depreciation of 996, I don't think it depreciation as much as other cars. It is a highend sport car, not many people have it like Hondas or Toyotas.
