Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have one rattle in my 2000 cab top over my head I think. I am pretty sure it is a loose cable in the top. Anyone ever tried to tighten these?

POST 2Original post

Yeah, take it to your dealer and refer them to the TSB about convertible top squeaks and rattles

POST 3Original post

I would like a (usefull) answer to the question also.......

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My warranty is up and I would like to try to make an adjustment first on my own if possible. The dealer will not handle bulletin work out of warranty without charging labor. I was able to fix all of the cab top squeeks on my own except this one...... Anyone know how to tighten cables?

POST 6Original post

Join Renntech and you can get all the TSB's on the top issues and fixes. You can probably find what you want that way.

POST 7Original post

I'm throwing out a bump here. Can you safely tighten the cables?
