I'll explore cat-back options in the spring because it could use a bit more exhaust note.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

39 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, I did it today! Spent a little more than I was going to, but it's super clean, and near new condition. Plus I was able to trade my car which had little interest on ebay and Autotrader. I really wanted one that had very little to no exterior and interior wear, so a small premium was in order. Another guy came in for an appointment to see it right when I finalized the deal. He was a bit dissappointed. On a side note, where is the tool kit located? I forgot to check that at the dealer this afternoon. Many of you answered my recent threads and I appreciate everyone's opinions. It's a 2002 Seal Gray Targa with 13,600 miles. Sport seats, rockers, Advanced Technic, CPO, painted center console, carbon fiber shifter and parking brake handle, PSM, 18" Light Alloy Carrera wheels, and maybe a few things I'm missing right now. The only other 2 options I would have liked is the PSE or full leather trim. I'll explore cat-back options in the spring because it could use a bit more exhaust note. They did the 15k maintenance, but I would like to replace the plugs soon since they have been in their for over 7 years. It's had 3 brake fluids flushes and 3 or 4 oil changes. I like to DIY for some stuff so hopefully the plugs aren't too hard to get to. DSC01376.jpg DSC01377.jpg DSC01378.jpg DSC01382.jpg DSC01384.jpg

POST 2Original post

Wow, that is low miles! Congrats. People are afraid of low mile cars, but I think the experience of driving in an almost new car, still feeling tight and new, is worth the risk! The tool kit should be in the spare tire cover somewhere. Now, where is that "this thread is useless without pics" icon!?

POST 4Original post

In the final days of my own deal... feel like a little kid. CONGRATS!!!!

POST 5Original post

Congrats!! Even though we all know a 2002 physically can't be in near-new condition... No matter, we want pics!

POST 6Original post

Congrats!... But get those pics in right away before you get the voracious wrath from Tim (hadA911)

POST 7Original post

Nice to hear you went through with your deal...where are the pics???

POST 9Original post

WTG !! get the camera out and start taking the "before" pics

POST 14Original post

Voracious wrath, was right!! Easy on the newbs, Tim. 996 pics please! Or maybe just one?

POST 19Original post

Glad you pulled the trigger! Good luck with her!

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pics finally added to the original post on page 1.

POST 21Original post

Congratulations! That's a beautiful Targa. Enjoy. Bob

POST 24Original post

BEAUTIFUL !!! what a great set of "before" pics!! step one - halloween was last months news, pumkins are out of season

POST 26Original post

What kind of seats are those? I thought my car had everything I wanted, but now I have something to lust after. May be hard to find in Boxster Red, but that will just make the hunt that much more fun. Great car. I seriously considered the Targa until I came across the one I have now.

POST 28Original post

Love the sport seats! Ditch the pumpkins! Forget PSE do a search for the DIY muffler hack! And NO the plugs are NOT easy to get to! Congrats!!

POST 30Original post

Beautiful car! Love that color and the fact it is a targa. Enjoy!

POST 31Original post

Very nice, I really like the Targa, very unique.

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What are these pumpkins are you guys talking about?

POST 34Original post

See that bright orange thing staring at you in the first photo = Pumkin

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ahhhh...the side markers. Where is a good place to get those and other parts? I konw of Pelican, but that's all so far. Thanks for all of the positive remarks guys.

POST 36Original post

Very nice looking Targa! COngrats! COntact Eric at Bumperplugs.com for the clear side markers. He is a Rennlist site sponsor.

POST 37Original post

Nice Targa with really low miles....let the moding begin...LOL

POST 38Original post

Very sweet-looking ride. bumperplugs.com or Pelicanparts.com for the side markers. It will be the easiest upgrade you will ever do, and really changes the look of a car for the better (not that yours really needs to look better!)

POST 39Original post

congrats! I was going to buy the targa actually but by the time I added in the full leather and a few other options, the price was a stone's throw from the C4s which came standard with the opitons and a bunch of other stuff. Love the glass roof.
