Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced by Carrrera symbol from the stock black to silver and didn't find this problem.

Of course, before applying the emblem, I wiped down the surface with alcohol to provide a clean surface.

The other areas of the emblems stuck on so well that I will have to use the "dental floss" trick to remove them.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As some of you may have read, I bought a C4S where the original owner ordered it with "badge delete". So I painstakingly bought the "Carrera 4S" and put it on.
However, since the "Carrera" is "flat" and the trunk is curved, the "C" portion of it lifts up. Of course, before applying the emblem, I wiped down the surface with alcohol to provide a clean surface. The other areas of the emblems stuck on so well that I will have to use the "dental floss" trick to remove them. I tried to put new double-sided sticky tape on it as you can see on the pic, but the "C" seems convinced to stay straight.
1) So has anyone else run into this problem?
2) I read somewhere that there is a "Carrera" emblem that is actually "curved" to hug the surface of the trunk. Does anyone have a part number for this?
Any other suggestions aside from crazy gluing it down (which I won't do since it will eat through the paint)?
come to think of it, I think mine sticks up a bit as well. It's only a minor problem when washing. If Marc's suggestion of warming it up first doesn't help, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I actually did try the hairdryer thing. Almost burned my finger, too. Of course, if I get another emblem, I'd heat and bend the C before installing it.
I replaced by Carrrera symbol from the stock black to silver and didn't find this problem. I just went to take a look and it looks the logo sits above the curve so it should be flat over that part of the trunk. However, I have the C2 996 so maybe the back is different.
I've never had this issue as the adhesive on these badges is pretty darn strong. It appears from the picture that the adhesive pad broke apart on yours. I'd say the only option is to replace it with a new one.
EDIT: I re-read your post about adding two-sided tape. so nevermind the broken adhesive pad comment.
