Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I meta guy today with the hardtop, just the hardtop to a 996 convertible. Is it worth anything? Does anyone want it? It is in Denver, and he wants it out of his garage.

POST 2Original post

Toss it on ebay... Seen em go for 6 or 7 hundred when they sell.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

green and it needs to be painted. if you have a desire (which translates to NEED when you sell idea to wife) for it, and can get it out to you, it is probably yours for next to nothing.

POST 5Original post

The ones on Ebay for 6 or 7 hundred hardly ever sell. You often see them for only 2 or 3 hundred, and then they sell. If it need paint, then low range. also, shipping is pretty expensive.

POST 6Original post

I sold a black/tan HT needing repaint for $400 on ebay with local pickup. A few hundred would be fair I suppose if the buyer really wanted one.

Between shipping and repainting, probably not worth it. Appreciate it though... thx!

POST 9Original post

i basically gave mine away. sold it locally to a guy for $150.00. the cost to paint it, as is most probably the case, and the cost for shipping, which is expensive because of the weight, is more than what the top is worth.
