Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Transponder you move over. The new key head comes with its own. One other note: I did actually have to pop out the spring- loaded slide mechanism on my old key to release the blade part; no drama.

Oh, I thought the 4th pic showed a Cyanide pill in case the swap didn't work! Sott, very nice!

POST 5Original post

uuuuuhhhh, Id be afraid to tackle this diy, I just dont like that transponder word.... esp that I hear some of these keys thread needing reprogramming at 3 bills... OK Im a wimp, Id rather tear apart the front/back end or something like that...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, really, it just rests there - no connections at all - like a teeny tiny Advil. Pick it out of the old key head, and put it in the new one. *done*

It's crazy easy. be happy to do it for you if you take my bumper off for me heh I have that key, I think it's cool On a different subject I had a new key programmed for my SAAB, the dealer charged me 22 bucks to program! It's pretty much the same as Porsche key programming that most dealers want an hours labor for!
