Haven't heard of anything yet that would substitute the Porsche computer logger the dealer uses (which costs big $$$$).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, Here is a list of links to some of the available scanners. I know the first two are often referred to: http://obd-2.com/ http://www.autoenginuity.com/products-scantoolpc.html But dose anyone know about these? Especially if you use Mac.: http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16150 http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=obdii Would really appreciate input from anyone with experience using the last 2. TIA.

POST 2Original post

Interesting, I'd like to know if there is a dumbed down version of the "hammer" available somewhere

POST 3Original post

I ordered the auto enginuity unit last week based on some online feedback. It should arrive Wednesday so I'll give you a little more feedback then.

POST 4Original post

I've hoped for a system like the VAG-COM for VW-Audi products for a long time. I use that PC based tool for my VW and Audi cars and it works great. Haven't heard of anything yet that would substitute the Porsche computer logger the dealer uses (which costs big $$$$).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
