Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When making a "abrupt" move? The PSM/ABS kicked off when I down shifted 2 gears (tip) and rapidly accelerated at highway speed the other day. I stopped for gas, restarted and all was back to normal. First time I have experienced it turning itself off. Thoughts?

POST 2Original post

No, but I once had a problem when a rear wheel speed sensor died on my '99 C4. I was able to look at the values in real time with the durametric and figure out which one was dead.

POST 3Original post

happened to me on the highway as well.. they both just kicked on for the remainder of the drive home , next time i started it they were both off. Although soon after i had problems with my MAF, which was triggering CEL, ABS, PSM lights. replaced it, and all was good

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Interesting. Anyone ever try just cleaning the MAF? I did also get an 1128 code. I suppose it might be time, the car has 123k on it.

POST 5Original post

I had the same senario. Heavy acceleration PSM/ABS lights came on. I did a search and came up with a bad MAF. Cleaned it twice and was fixed temporarily(few weeks) Ordered a new one(pelican) installed it and haven't had problem return again(several years).

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks........ This place is great.

POST 7Original post

Brake switch is another gremlin that does the PSM/ABS intermittent.
