Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T005001Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up two cases (12) of 0-40w.

POST 2Original post

Stopped to look and the local NAPA had the sale. But they don't have a weight that I like to run. No 0-40W for me, most of the others were x-30W. they did have 15-50W but that is not one for me either. I run 5-40W in the winter and 5-50W in the summer. Guess I will stick with Syntech or the new Edge product by Castrol.

POST 3Original post

At least at my local napa, typically they can have any weight oil sent to my local store same day if they have it in the warehouse or other nearby store.

POST 4Original post

I just picked up 15w50w Mobil 1 $75.50 a case.

POST 5Original post

You didn't just cap off the coolant line (or better yet retrofit the coolant tank and connect it) at the top per the advice? Instead I gather you sourced and old used unit.

POST 12Original post

I know I know, plenty of hot debate, but I am still gathering info So far I am in the camp, it can't matter because so many people have so many different opinions... But i think Doug knows more than he wants to tell

You don't know the half of it. You can join the vent lines with a "T," that is not any part of the problem of using parts not designed for the original Boxster.

POST 14Original post

How did I decide what weight I run? Well I could tell you, but then I would have to kill you.
