Per seller, Porsche dealer changed main seal in 2008 but I need to see the paperwork for details.

Clean Autocheck but seems it sat on the dealers lot for a long time, like 1 year when the car was new.
Clean records, at least per autocheck.....otherwise, indeed very indentical

Plus the 2002 has clean records, at least per autocheck.....otherwise, indeed very indentical.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mid Atlantic region; currently belongs to an older gentlemen who already bot a SL 550 as a replacement. he bot the 996 from a Porsche dealer as CPO in the summer of 2007. Car had 17.6k miles back then and currently at 29k miles. Not much maintenance records other than oil changes. Fairly basic car, manual seat, not heated, PSM, Litronic. But exterior/interior are in good shape. Final price of course pending on PPI. Per seller, Porsche dealer changed main seal in 2008 but I need to see the paperwork for details. I met the sellers family and seem upstanding but definitely not car nuts like RLers here. Interesting thing is they only listed on CL couple of times and never listed elsewhere although they are aware of ebay.and the CL ads expired few weeks ago and sounds like they are just dealing with me for now. Clean Autocheck but seems it sat on the dealers lot for a long time, like 1 year when the car was new. See below for details. I like the color combo but miss the heated seat. Car definitely needs 30k miles service but probably needs additional like new plugs, water pump, and IMS upgrade after/if I buy it. In order to not bias your thinking I am not going to mention specific $ amount but if you were a buyer, whats the most realistic purchase price/approach? Auto check details below.

I assume from the records it's a 2002?
Do a search on posting from user Ahoffman. Nearly identical question that we kicked around last couple week 01-02 cab, similar miles, etc... Consensus was that it is impossible to value the car without seeing condition etc... I think he got it in the $25+- range (which is great deal) knowing that he was going to need to drop another +-3K for RMS/IMS.
But please go back and read the postings. I think you'll find it worthwhile.
I bought an 02 cab as well with 40K for $27500 no IMS/RMS and am very happy with the deal I got. I think if you're $27-30K$+- all in and its in great shape that's about right. So many variables! Pop me a PM and I'll send you the notes I took when I was shopping for the car. They may be useful.
Mike,
I went thru those posts and since 2001 is a MK1 car and 2002 is MK2 which a bit more desirable so not quite apple to apple. Plus the 2002 has clean records, at least per autocheck.....otherwise, indeed very indentical.
