Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My rear seat are seldom used except for an occasional case of beer.
Leading evidence: 'Use except' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use except' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay, strange one:
The bottom back seat cushions got pulled out of the car recently. Rather than the velcro releasing, it held and the black plastic pads that are attached to the carpet came off instead. These are attached to the carpet via posts that pass through the carpet and then are fastened underneath with some kind of snap fit rings. The rings are still under there somewhere, and the seat cushions are now just sitting there as if on lawn chairs.
The 'correct' fix is to pull the carpet and refasten the velcro pads as intended. I know. But this looks like a giant pain in the butt. Has this happened to anyone else, and did you figure out a way to make it right without yanking the carpet up?
TIA for any help you can offer.
Bruce, that happened to my passenger side rear seat. I'm not sure how to fix 'right' but I feel your pain. For the time being it just sits in its place. My rear seat are seldom used except for an occasional case of beer.
you can lift up the carpet (located where it touches the floor, at the seams)..... just lift up on it, then stick your arm where the seat section is.... you should be able to find the piece under the seat carpet and reattach the velcro piece. It looks hard, but the carpet is really easy to lift up.... just dont be afraid of it, it can easily put back into place.
And correct, as it turns out.
Unfortunately, a few of the discs seem to have gone to odd-sock heaven, but I was able to get everything back together with the discs I could find. I'd go for it, Sneaky Pete.
the key is (when you want to take the bottom seats OFF).... when you pry the bottom seat covers up, you lift it up slowly just enough to get your hand under there. Stick your hand between the seat and carpet.... seperate the velcros with your fingers. This will make sure that the velcros is seperated and each half of the velcro stays under the seat and carpet.
Glad you are able to fix it.
