Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

These are
the seats advertised by GMP
. They were great to work with. Good communication, professional, and no surprises.
The seats are essentially brand new. There is very little to no wear on the leather, and there are only a couple of minor scratches on the back of the shells. The seats came with all of the mounting hardware and the sub bars, all already attached.
It is a straight forward install, and I was going to use
Carerra Mike's Install Gallery
as a guide, but many Thanks to Dell for all of the help with the install.
He did most of the wrenching since he's done this before.
I need some better outdoor pictures, but you can get the gist of the result.
Just moving around in the driveway right now, but they really hold you snugly. There are no power adjustments; just forward and backward on the sliders; no heating. Not much of an issue here in NC
ALRIGHT! ! !
You finally got them!
BEAUTIFUL! (are they brand new? - man look like it!)
Awe, yea.... for those that dont have these, you loose NOTHING! (lol) and gain SO much!!
This would be a "must have" mod on any other P-car I ever own
Congrats! - nice shots and you know I thopught your car was already beautiful... now it is to die for!
Thanks Ed. They essentially are brand new.
You certainly loose I'd say ~25# per side. I put my seats up on my storage rack in the garage and that was
no
fun carrying those heavy SOBs up the ladder.
LOL, my garage has a stupid flat roof, so no overhead storage. Had to leave mine on the floor in the second bay. Kind of in the way, but I wont be putting them back in while I own the car, and I dont want to get rid of them in case I sell the car and the new owner wants the stock seats...
Its one of the prices we pay for mods with large parts
Next year maybe. Researching full Tequipment setup or the Brey-Krause.
I want to get a feel for how this setup will work with the stock 3-pt belts for the upcoming DE in late November.
I can confirm that the sub bar has been mounted
Install looks great Scott! Can't wait to sit in the right seat in a few weeks when we hit VIR
Sorry I couldn't stick around for a beer afterwards but I did have to get to breakfast with the family
You should make one in to an office chair. I'm sure someone could fab a mount that would attach to the seat so it wouldn't ruin the seat. I've always wanted to do that, but haven't upgraded the seats in any of my rides.
+1 for the office chair.
I love those seats. Think they look cool, feel nice when u sit in them, but they are a pain in the *** to get in and out of. I wish someone would cut away a portion of the entry/exit side, or they would beef up the padding on that part.
your mods are all very well done. looking forward to seeing how you like the seats, esp at the DE
Im thinking of getting the Recaro Sportster CS seats (as a cheaper GT2 alternative) so I can retain access to the back seat for my young son.
Yep; there are already many places that do that kind of work. I'll likely keep my stock seats unchanged though.
I agree, but Im sure Ill get used to it like anything else. Im trying to take an extra couple seconds getting in and out so as not to rub too much on that bolster.
re: DE; Same here; should be a night and day difference. I saw your post; those look very nice; will be interested in hearing how they work out.
Took about a 30min round trip today and wow, a much more direct experience. More sounds, more feeling, and freeway on and off ramps are a new kind of fun. Its sounds cliche, but they really do transform the experience.
Can you itemize charges for seats, installation, a bar for the seatbelts (not a full roll bar) and the belts themselves? Just curious what we'd be in for?
I'm assuming your question was directed at me?
Seats [used]; $3000
Roll/Harness; $0; none currently installed
Installation; $0; DIY
Belts; $0; using stock belts
