Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys, sorry for the hiatus, per popular demand here are pics a couple of the crazy cars up at deman motorsport in Nanuet, NY. These were taken in the spring: I'm not very good at saving the best for last. I have spent my share of time around open wheeled formula cars, but something about the aero and the glass in gt1 and lmp sportscars just does it for me visually, plus the power. Not one, but two prototypes in this shot (the ruby tuesday car and then the other on the lift. Car weighs <1500 lbs fully loaded if i remember right, all carbon fiber everywhere, inside and out. You can se even in this narrow field of view how much serious hardware is in here, the 964 cup/rsr behind it, the 6tt racecar next to it, the 7gt3 cup on the other lift, and a ton of other stuff I have pics of from previous visits I have to dig up. Bet you the owner made money just on the appreciation of all the gold in this car. It's a monster, now running unlimited nasa/pca etc, 1000+ whp out of 3.6L TT (the black TT in the previous shot is also putting down that kind of power) The other prototype on the lift, integral transmission like a big forumla car, lov it. more carbon This is the 99 Cup w/ RSR flares Imagine the sticker on this thing in 1988 (he probably still has it, car is so cherry). Now adjust for inflation. And the rear. That's the kind of quad exhaust tip I want. And wing. OK so maybe I want a 930 turbo flatnose. Note camber on the rear of the 996 racecar next to it 964 Cup/RSR (not sure if factory RSR or Cup w/ flares). Still fast as hell Big Bird Mode. It's just, so, wide The BTR. My favorite old tuner car. I know I'll be just dumb enough to buy one of these some day and finally put my stockpile of polish and glaze to its highest and best use.

Did I mention it has hydraulics? Haha That's either intake or exhaust manifold (90% certain it's intake, because I think I remember the main inlets actually being in front of the rear deck wing and the air coming back up an into the motor, plus the diameter would dictate intake, but I can't remember for sure, it was 7 months and billions of brain cells ago!). I wish I had a better picture of the compartment, if it's up there next week I'll find out for sure They are good people and Porsche people through and through, and you're right, every time I've gone in there its new and amazing hardware. Did you ever see the outlaw looking 914 widebody racecar that was in there last year? I think it's behind the white 996 rsr in the above pics, Gotta find a good shot of it The trend everywhere seems to be spec / pca / nasa boxsters like the blue one in one of the pics, people selling their supercups and running 986, and the same applied up at Rick's this past spring. If my business had any need for sponsorship advertising I would probably have my excuse, but I don't! They're on 303 in the bradley corporate park, very quick shot if you're on the palisades or 9w. Just make sure you call before you go in since they are away at races a lot during the season. I figured some of the guys might get off on these, but I didn't think anyone would actually GET OFF Ed! Haha Let me know if you want any of those pics in larger sizes, I didn't do that on here since the forum box isn't too big but drop me a line and I'll email you whatever you need. Best, Hans

The gold thing under the hatch? That's gold heat foil over the intake. I've seen that car - it's a real piece of work (and smaller than you'd imagine!) Last spring Rick took it out for some parade laps around Lime Rock. We were all very attentive!
