Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know a reliable Porsche shop in the NYC area ? A rennlister just had his 993 broken down with a fan belt failure. He's standing at the entrance of the tunnel waiting for an POrshce shop adress to tow his car. Many thanks !

POST 3Original post

Manhatten Motorcars is the local dealer, few blocks from the lincoln tunnel. (I have not heard good things about them) 270 11th Ave New York, NY 10001 [phone removed] Fan belts an easy fix.

POST 4Original post

Tow? Can't you drive a few blocks w/o the belt?

POST 5Original post

I thought all the aircooled guys knew to keep a spare belt? Always had one in my 993. At least the dealer will have it there.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

He has one spare belt but does not know how toreplace it. In fact, it's not an easy job for newbies.
