Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

exhaust tip? It's the connector that joins the muffler pipe to the exhaust tip. Whoever put on my sportmuffler used stainless steel pipe instead of the factory connector. It's a nice job but a real pain when trying to go from mufflers to the fabspeed muffler bypass. Factory looks to be easier to swap. Thank you!

Yeah, those clamps for the tips are a bit crazy to get off. I was actually still able to reuse mine though, just cleaned them up, and they definitely hold tight. But your bypass pipes don't have the tips already welded on?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Making the connection to the Fabspeed is easy and I use V-Band clamps. The connection back to the stock system requires the (996 111 220 01 clamping sleeve) part to make a tight connection. Someone already fabricated stainless steel exhaust sleeves but they are a pain to get back on after being clamped and un-clamped several times. I think the factory clamping sleeve is the easiest for the stock system.
