Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'caliper itself;(' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'caliper itself;(' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Set just email' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hey folks, we just started carrying brembo's 330mm light weight two piece rotor upgrades for the 996C4S. These are direct bolt-on replacement for those of you with the stock steel (big reds).
They'll be available at the end of this month.. either way not a bad idea for the track guys

You can get them from us or any other Brembo supplier but just an FYI. If you're interested in a set just Email

or myself. Price is $1495.
Well being slotted they actually have better cooling properties than the cross-drilled and they really are for the track guys. Having said that we've been doing the PCCB and 350/380mm two piece replacements for some time now and those work great on the street or track.... They're designed to last longer if anything
Hey Tim, we did try the same thing before on our 996C2 (see project in the sig) but found that the F50 caliper (that's the only really good track upgrade) was just too large to fit a custom 17 inch so we were stuck with 18s;(
Not at this time... just for the widebody cars with the 330mm stuff:(

Any thoughts on the Rotora kit? They say it can POSSIBLY be used behind a 17. What were the issues you found, Was it wheel offset or the caliper too close to the rim?
Tim

hey tim, I have to say I'm not too familiar with that brand of product.. We just haven't used them
It was the caliper itself;(
Guys, every thing is relative. How many of you give little thought to paying $400 per tire for rear tires, which may last 15,000 miles? How much longer will the rotors last than the tires, especially if you don't track your car?
How much are OEM rotors?
I know... I agree... the price isn't bad at all. Especially when comparing to Girodisc's $2200 set for something similar and the $6k full monoblock front setup from Brembo.
unsprung weight is one of the best mod you can do.... think of it not of just replacement rotors, but... better power, steering feel, cooler braking.... its like putting on lightweight wheels, but cheaper.
