This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

One good way to remove dried bird squat is to use a balled up paper towel soaked with plain water plopped onto the dried crap for about 5 minutes.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is bird s*** really that bad for your paint? My car is sitting outside right now and it has become a magnet for bird poop?

POST 2Original post

Yes. Clean your car immediately. Then, buy a big bad of birdfeed, and start spreading it around the car of the neighbor who is the biggest PIA.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know just the neighbor. Unfortunately, a pile of bird ****e will just make their car dirtier and they'll only wash it about once a year. Someone broke out the back window of their mini van they used plastic wrap for about six months before they got it fixed.

POST 6Original post

Yep its not good especially if it dries out in the sun on the surface of a car. One good way to remove dried bird squat is to use a balled up paper towel soaked with plain water plopped onto the dried crap for about 5 minutes. It then just lifts right off. If it leaves a slight residue or outline on the car's surface take a very small abount of paint cleaner and gently rub over the spot then follow with a bit of wax.

POST 7Original post

I saw this today in the off topic section of Rennlist. Talk about bird crap! (Warning: REALLY graphic images. Do not scroll down if you're squeamish.) Are you sure you want to see it? Keep going...

POST 10Original post

That's just crazy! That would be a good one for "pelican" parts...

POST 11Original post

Thats incredible...I've see bird strikes in aircraft engines and this ranks right up there with them.
