Right in the middle of my 400 mile weekend trip the check engine light in '99 C4 come on. No obvious change in how the engine runs. Car ran great on the ride home. I stopped in an Autozone and their scanner read the error code as "auxiliary emissions systems" but could not be more specific than that. Any ideas? Thanks.

It could be a leak in the expansion tank, which is common. If I'm not mistaken the check engine light comes on if there is a problem with the O2 sensor.
