Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, say I have an extra set of Catalytic Converters. Can I drill them to add more flow? Not remove all the internals but just open it up a bit? Say I did remove all the guts. How do I keep from getting a CEL?????? Hummmmmm

POST 4Original post

Quotes source post: 7757738

After you drill the cats drill the CEL bulb socket. Sincerely, Macster.

POST 5Original post

thats it? cats are expensive $1.5k each.... fister D's are way cheaper and no cells.... to answer your ??? there is no way around a cell w/o an ecu reflash.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was going to change the CEL fluid. I have PSE hacked mufflers on it now. Hummmm

POST 9Original post

Arnee had PSE hacked mufflers and 200 cell Cat setup. He said there is no drone. That thing must sound pretty sweet..

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It sounds GREAT (Thus wanting to improve mine). Just don't have the coin to drop on the 200 cell cats right now.

POST 11Original post

PSE & Fabspeed 200 cell Cat/Xpipe sounded fantastic on my C4S. If you have a spare set of stock cats, sell them and by a set of 200 cell cats or bypass pipes.

POST 12Original post

Can the secondary O2's sensors be turned off with a custom flash? or are there mil eliminators available for Porsche's.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just looked at Fabspeed's site. They have a "spacer" that keeps the CEL off

POST 14Original post

redridge AKA "Ferdinand" installed FVD's 200 cell cat this past winter. That combination with his PSE is so sweet. I had the pleasure of listening to it all the way to Hershey PA and back. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...a-knockin.html sound clip https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...s-and-vid.html

Add the equal length headers and you're good to go. Still no drone. Tim likes re setup. Heh Guys you can also get an O2 sensor bung/extension and te CEL won't trigger BUT it still won't pass smog. Tim, your best bet is to get the 200cell canisters and have a muffler shop replace your existing cat pipes with those.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks A Funny thing is, the current owner is still not sure what he has

POST 17Original post

FWIW, the Xpipe never caused a single CEL for my setup. GL

POST 22Original post

Try a Carquest or any other similar a/p store; when I did a custom exhaust on another car, this is where mine were purchased. You will of course need to know the diameter of the pipe.
