Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'01 C4, 25k miles. I got stuck today in fairly slow moving traffic and noticed after awhile that my coolant temperature had risen higher than I've ever seen it before. Turned the A/C to max cooling, recirculate, and dropped the A/C fan speed to minimum to lighten the cooling load on the condensor/radiator stack and the temp. went back down to the nomal range. Both front fans are running in normal conditions but is there a quick and easy way to get them to go into full speed mode so I can check that operational aspect?

POST 2Original post

Search for fan hack. Or if you have Durametric/PST2/PIWIS you can activate stage 2 fans in software.

POST 3Original post

Fan hack. Thats what i did amd now my fan does not swtich off.

POST 4Original post

If you want to see if your S2 fans work, unplug both stage 1 relays. The stage two fans will click on an off every few minutes. (don't run the car like this though in regular conditions, this is just for testing).
