Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It has been 8 years since the last time I was a Porsche owner. I traded my 99' Boxster for a SUV when my wife was pregnant with our first child. Now I am the father of two beautiful daughers and once again a Porsche owner. Here are some pics. 03' C2, Seal Grey, PSM, heated/pwr seats, auto dim, 18" I haven't had much time to drive yet, but when I did it felt great! I am smiling now just thinking about it. Now the fun begins. I already bought a Misha GT2M wing that is going to the paint shop tomorrow and aluminum pedals. Hopefully the weather gets better by the weekend so I can work on the car. This forum has been a fountain of information and a fun place to be. More pics, stories and questions to come.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK. The pictures didn't show up. I went into the attachment manager and uploaded 3 photos. It show it has taken up 150K. What am I doing wrong? Did I miss a step?

LOL. Thanks, it worked. Thought I did the same last night. Oh well.

POST 6Original post

very clean looking, and a GT2 wing is just what you need

POST 7Original post

Nice pics! Congratulations on the new purchase.

POST 8Original post

looking good. Post pics with the spoiler on when you get that done.

POST 10Original post

welcome.... will need to balance the gt2 wing with a more agressive front end. The gt2 wing by it self will make it unstable at speeds.

POST 13Original post

it is beautiful bone stock right now. adding the wing might be a bit much on an otherwise stock body? welcome back!

POST 14Original post

Welcome back! .... But you NEVER truly leave, do you?

POST 15Original post

I bet you are happier now. Great looking car. The newer cars just keep getting better in handling. A nice and safe winter to you.

POST 16Original post

Very nice....one of the better Porsche colors...congrat's!

POST 17Original post

I really like that color, nice C2 Porsche. Thanks for your pics.

POST 18Original post

Howdy do! Really like that color. I wish I would have waited on that color but I was drooling so much when I saw my current car my wife had to throw me a bucket! Glad you are here!

POST 21Original post

Looks nice. My youngest daughter's favorite color. She is only 14 but already is working hard trying to make the scratch to be able to get a used Boxster in that same color when she starts driving. Kids. My first car was a Gremlin!

Thanks for the kind words and welcome everybody! I am definetly planning on doing more to the car. It will be a slow process though as I learn more about it, and as time and wallet allows. :-) In the mean time I'll have fun looking at all the options. Jake, I love how your 996 looks. Is that a GT3 RS front bumper?

My first car was a '72 Chevy Impala. I could fit 8 friends and 2 coolers in that car. Never had to worry about spilling beer or eating in that car!

Holy crap, me too! I loved that car. Mine was red, and boy did it look sharp. And you could fit 4 people in the trunk to sneak in the drive in movies, in theory only.

Just curious, how much, and how many miles?? I have a red one for sale. Thanks.

POST 29Original post

Sweet car... like the lightweight wheels for the narrow body.

POST 30Original post

Nice looking car neighbor, enjoy it. I am in Allen just north of you,... actually right now I am in Albany NY for my contractor job so physically I am not with car, miss it a lot. Have fun, cheers.

POST 31Original post

Welcome to Rennlist and Congrats on getting a nice looking car.! Thanks for the pics. BTW, you saved yourself a lot of grief by posting pics right away. Some of the guys here (I won't mention any names) can be relentless if you don't post pics.

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$28K plus $425 shipping, 61K miles. Mileage was higher than what I was looking for but it is a CPO car with full service records. And the dealer did the 60K service, plus tires and front breaks. The options list is pretty good too.

POST 33Original post

Congratulations! That's a beautiful 996. Enjoy! Bob

Hopefully mine will be worth a little more when I decide to sell it. 59K miles.
