It has 09981 listed, which I think is a code that means that the factory installed some unnamed accessories to the car, probably at the buyers request.

I am looking at a 1999 996 C2, and have deciphered all the option codes except M014, M041, and M448. I've surfed and googled the web, and these option codes are elusive. This particular C2 has a lot of performance options, so these option codes have me particularly curious. Thanks!

Yup - M041 for sure. It has a GT3 style aerokit, but doesn't have XAA listed. It has 09981 listed, which I think is a code that means that the factory installed some unnamed accessories to the car, probably at the buyers request. I was wondering if M014 and M041 might be aero kit parts.

M014 - Sport package: i agree M041 - do not know what it is M448 -perhaps 446 Colored concave center hubs i agree as well in fact 446 is concave hub cape with coloured esutcheon 09981, might be M981 wich is leather equipment without seat covers. good luck !!! keepus informed....

With consensus that M014 = sport package, what is in the 996 "sport package". This 996 has the M030 sport suspension. Was M014 cosmetic? Or did it include some additional performance features?
