They are going to fix the starting issues and warranty the starting issue repair for 12 months.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I looked at a 99 911 at the porsche dealership. New brakes and tires 6 months ago. It has a starter problem, the battery checked out fine, alternator is working, they think it might be the starter. They are going to fix the starting issues and warranty the starting issue repair for 12 months. It was just traded in on saturday. It was listed for 23,990. I am also having an independent inspection to confirm.

This is what we negotiated:
$22,000 purchase price
$2,500 for my trade - 1998 Ford Explorer Limited Edition
Taxes + Title + Processing Fee total 1,200 more.
Does this seem like a reasonable price?
That is a lot of options for a 99. I agree that the steering wheel is not original (should only be the C4 that has that wheel), but I would bet the NAV was added later too. Check the options codes under the hood.
If it is a color and has the options and is in the condition you want, and the PPI checks out, the price does not sound terrible.
obviously not been detailed yet, and I bet they paid less than $15k for it...there is a lot of money on the table still to negociate....
I dont think $22k is high, but I bet you can do better.............or find a better car for that price (for me $18-19k would be a good deal for you)
what state are you in???
The interior has the look of being ridden hard and put away wet,--several times. Remember, it's simply a CAR. Don't get too attached to this one. Like buses, there is another one around the corner.
hard as it is to say, that does seem high. I agree mid-upper teens is where the prices are at these days for a '99. It's not going to be CPO'd I assume, so in this case buying it from a Porsche dealer sounds like an expensive way of doing it.
I typically buy from a delaer so that I get a warranty or CPO. If those are not on the table then you are just paying a premium for the pretty red sign above the door and not much else.
I think the price sounds fine, you'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner car at that price, much less from a dealer. A cheap car and a good deal are seldom the same thing.
Nothing wrong with this car if it passes PPI. A $100 detail job will fix the interior. Try getting the price down by a few grand. Either way not a bad car!
I test drove a 2001 C2 cab at my local Porsche dealership, they wanted 35k. I went online and researched for months and ended up paying 26.5k for a C4 with give or take 5k miles. I would say shop around unless they offer you a great Cpo. I got mine off autotrader.com and had it shipped from Arizona to North Carolina for $800.
That steering wheel is a bona-fide option. Will try to find the option code, but the code is the SAME code as the one for 'martini stripes' - believe it or not.
