Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not too much damage, some scratches to the bumper but still...
Women had insurance but did not speak much English. Got all her info.(cops will not come out on these things so forget about a police report).
Called the insurance companys, both mine and hers, made the claim. I took into the body shop today.
Problem: She has not yet called her insurance company and they can not accept liability until she does. SO, I am calling her tonight to get her to contact her insurance.
I hope that this does not turn into a PITA. Why can't people watch where they are going and doing?
Just venting to the forum...

2 bits of advice from my recent rear-ender.
1. Make sure they take off the bumper, panels, etc., and do a thorough inspection.
All I had was a scratch on the bumperette and the light was a little tweaked. When everything was torn down, it turned out the frame was bent! $9 grand worth of damage! Our cars carry a lot of weight in the *** and that can magnify unseen damage from a relatively minor fender bender.
2. Screw her insurance. Go through yours and let them worry about getting paid. I went throught the other guys insurance thinkin I was doing the right thing, and just got boned in the end.
Good luck. I hope your car is fine.
Thanks for the advice. Yes, they are going to be taking the whole thing apart. The shop said they will be taking off the bumper and various things. It will take at least a week to repair if it is minor.

Bet a few English words will come out of her mouth when her insurance company calls her and lets her know how much her insurance is going up after hitting a Porsche!
POC Toyota?? Up here in Canada we have the upgraded winterized model called the POS Toyota, one of which I own.
The problem with this approach is even though you're not at fault and more than likely your insurance company will be paid, the incident will be recorded and used in rating your risk during your renewal period. Insurance companies track EVERYTHING and will use this as an indicator that your vehicle is a "magnet" for these sorts of incidents or that your route you take to work is more prone to accidents. Your rates could be affected.
Going right through their insurance may be a hassle but it keeps your record clean. Now if they are unresponsive you may have to go with your own insurance or hire a lawyer but hopefully it doesn't get to that point.
Some insurances don't process a claim if there's not a police report. It was a bad move to not wait for a police officer. (sometimes, they send a county officer instead of the LEO) that woman deserved a ticket and it's now out the hook thanks to you. Good luck with your claim.
I'm with Joe on this but with a more sympathetic tone of voice. Too often the bad english equals bad insurance. This happen to me once and again to a friend. Fraudulent insurance card, no cops initially. A cop friend looked the woman up and said she had 4 pages of criminal history. My insurance picked it in the end.
I will never leave the accident seen with out a police report. Someone pulled out in front on me. I had a green light and they had a red. I tried stopping very hard but still hit them. They admitted fault. Got insurance info and dl info. Went I reported the claim they said I was at fault now. It was not fun.
Unless there are injuries you will not get a police report. You would be lucky to have one even come out. Cities (SF Bay Area) will NOT send an officer out if there has not been any injuries or the vehicles can be moved. You would be waiting a long time. If the vehicles are blocking traffic and are immoble then they will respond to get the streets open again. Then you may get a report.
Her insurance is valid and current and her insurance is working with the shop. So it looks like this may be taken care of. I am not worried about my rates going up. My agent said don't worry about that. If they were to go up they would have gone up a long time ago as my wife has been hit several times in much the same way.

Sorry for the tone, it wasn't the intention....
So.... if I do crash in california while careless driving and rear end you, but we are able to move the cars and exchange the insurance info, I can get away from the 3 point's ticket??? wow! awesome!

That's bull**** that they say they can't do anything until she calls. Call your guy and tell him what happened and to get to work.
Ignoring your insurance company won't make anything go away. I was in two no-fault accidents and I sure didn't need to inform my agent for them to show up on my record. Yes, usually a second no-fault accident will cause your insurance to go up.

You have to say that you're hurt to get a cop on the scene of a fender bender around here.
