Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I first want to say that the Tubi Muffles are great ! They're quiet on start up and when tooling around town, but when you romp on it the really sound fantastic; plus going down the highway with the top down they don't drone at all. If any one was considering adding mufflers to their car I would give Tubi Style a rousing endorsement.
Second while I chiped my car with GIAC performance software I can't tell what it bought me, probably because a) I hadn't driven the car for 6 months and, b) I didn't dyno a baseline nor current output. But that said it still goes....
Anyway here's my question: I've noticed on my digital engine oil measurement gauge that I've lost some oil (two bars). I added a 1/2 of a quart of oil and trimed it off but it lost another bar which I trimed off again. I've probably only driven a 600 miles or so since I put it on the road and experianced this oil loss. I've never had to do this before. And no, there are no leaks...and yes I have been stomping on it just so I can hear those mufflers
ANY IDEAS?????
"I hadn't driven the car for 6 months"
Maybe the RMS or another seal dried and is leaking...any oil spots on the floor? Also, make sure you're using the gauge properly.
If not leaking, it's being burned and that's not unusual. Nothing to lose sleep over at this point. Keep an eye on it and track how much you're adding now that you're driving more regularly.
Congrats on the Tubi's!
I have notice in my completely flat garage that w/o touching the oil some days it reads higher than others...I would not go adding oil on the lower days unless it shows a trend - a single lower (not low in the red) reading is normal IMO.... just watch it and in a day it might be right back up...
that's what I would do...
..and while you're reading this I'd like to ask another really stupid question....I don't know how to read my dip stick ????? It orange tipped has an orange cylinder, which goes into an orange cap with the same demetions as the tip. There are also two dots (small indentations) on both the tip and the base.
I'm clueless

We're happy to help - just ask
I also second the advice for joining Renntech; a boatload of documentation and tech info over there; Loren is top shelf. We have a lot here too, just a different set of folks.
Grab a cold one.
My electronic oil guage recently showed 3 bars low, the oil dipstick was between the dots but not quite halfway...and I added small amounts of oil until both agreed on "full". I didn't add much more than 10 oz. or so. The guage and dipstick appear to be in synch with each other.
Hard to substantiate that claim Maurice unless its in the manufacturer literature; IDK.
What’s more accurate than fluid on a stick? Nothing to fail; nothing to calibrate; solid state; no electrical requirements
I would venture a guess that the group they are marketing to clientele doesn’t want to get their hands dirty and would prefer just looking at the instrument display [not a slight on 997 drivers BTW], OR, that oil is such a critical component that they want to make a low oil warning more apparent.
Ever since I have gotten flashed with GIAC. I have noticed my oil consumption is way up.
I can't be sure if it is because of GIAC or something else. The car runs great just uses up more oil.
