Suggestion

Still uses the FM on the radio, but it's actually hard wired inline with the FM antenna connection, so it's sending it via a cable, not the airwaves.

My first question is if I remove the system by using the Radio Removal Tool, do I need to input a code to get it to work again?

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car is a 2003 C2 with a CDR 23 stock system. My first question is if I remove the system by using the Radio Removal Tool, do I need to input a code to get it to work again? The second question is about if anyone had found a way to hook-up an Ipod. I tried the FM transmitter and it is a complete disaster, especially when living is an urban area. I did some research and still not satisfied. Many thanks.

POST 2Original post

A step up from an FM transmitter would be an FM modulator. Still uses the FM on the radio, but it's actually hard wired inline with the FM antenna connection, so it's sending it via a cable, not the airwaves.

POST 3Original post

That radio does not have a user code. If you disconnect the radio and then hook it back up it will just work.

POST 4Original post

If you had the CDR-220, Becker sells a cable for under $20 that connects to the headphone jack on your iPod. Maybe the same cable or one like it will fit yours, too. Would be better than FM.
