This is the only issue I've had thus far save for a small initial oil leak from something not properly tightened during the install.

It seems the kit is running pretty well on 3.6 liters.

A loose rad hose during the install (blew coolant everywhere on the test drive)caused a delay in final delivery but since then the operation has been next to flawless.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello All
Here is a post for the early birds. How is your Supercharger working? I have seen the first impressions....
Have you ever tracked the car? How was the behaviour? Any problems in terms of reliability? please post for how long you have the kit installed, so we can have a general figure of it.
Best Wishes

I've had mine in for almost a week. Took it to the track 3days after installing. The guys at Akkurat are awesome, especially James who put in late nights to get it ready for the track. Car handled great, power was very smooth and steady. I likey!
IMO, the SC is the BEST BANG for the BUCK!
Kirby-
Do you have any thoughts on longevity and engine life with the added pressures and strains on the engine by supercharging it? This is the one thought keeping me from doing it.
I've had my non-CARB certified (that certification is WAY overdue from a promised standpoint) SC for appx 9 months. On a recent mountain drive (my mountain drives are often akin to track days), it twice started smoking from the rear from what had to be leaking oil (I could smell it and knew it was oil). I'd run it hard, stop for a while to BS, watch it smoke a little while, and go at it again. I've had a couple runs during the last 9 months (with no such smoke or dripping) but this one may have been one of the longer ones under sustained silliness (and it was much hotter outside than in the other ones). I'll probably have it checked out during the next annual service in November if I still have the car. Unless the car is pushed quite hard for extended periods of time (ie: track type use), it has been flawless. This is the only issue I've had thus far save for a small initial oil leak from something not properly tightened during the install.
Mine worked flawlessly on the track. 3 Session of hard, intense driving in 105 degree heat. As for longevity it should be fine. When you're driving at normal speeds it doesn't push the engine at all. The only adjustment that needs to be made is getting used to the new sounds.
Kirby-the drifting competition is August 22 with NASA at Infineon. I think you're pretty ready by looking at that 4 wheel drift : ). Practice makes perfect : ). Sounds like a sweet mod. What sounds are you hearing after install-nothing at idle or roving around town? So when will you be at the city and all- I like to check out your ride: ). Regards. Mike
Im really interested in this mod and I've read a lot of the historical posts on it. The only thing scaring me away from it is the RMS issue. Not that the SC would lead to an RMS problem, I'd just hate to have Porsche use the SC as a scapegoat in the event of an RMS leak and refuse warranty service. Do Evolution or any of the installers have any idea what might happen in the event of a warranty claim on a car with the EVO installed or, even better, have any of the EVO owners had to make a warranty claim since its installation?
Mine has been up and running smoothly since mid-april. A loose rad hose during the install (blew coolant everywhere on the test drive)caused a delay in final delivery but since then the operation has been next to flawless. I have put on about 5000 miles since. I plan on taking nacelle out to the drag strip in the next few weeks and will post the results as soon as available. I would do it all again in a flash...
Well
It seems the kit is running pretty well on 3.6 liters. Thanks Kirb and Nacelle for the input.
It would be good to have more inputs. So any sharing would be apreciated.

Love it. Kit #10. Only problem is occasional difficulty starting when hot. Needs accel. slightly depressed and cranked for a couple of seconds to catch.

Don, I did PSS9's and so far I like them a lot. Ride is not harsh at all and the cars handles really well. That's about all I did, unless you count changing to Red Calipers, getting BBS Rims, etc...haha
I've got the turbo brakes too (completely unnecessary) together with PSS9s and GT3 adjustable sways as well as a lightweight flywheel and stronger clutch.
The EVO system includes an "aftercooler" (Intercooler is avertised but technically not the same as an aftercooler. The system includes a 3rd factory radiator, water pump and aftercooler that keeps the intake air temp about 20 - 30 degrees above abient temps.
