Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Raining here in Georgia - thought you would all enjoy this quote from "The Porsche 911" by Chris Harvey, 1980: The Porsches described in this book - from the earliest 901 to the latest 935's and the road-going 930 Torbos and 911 SC Grand Tourers - are almost certainly the last rear-engined air-cooled Porsches, the last of a dynasty and possibly the last of the 911 line as the new front-engined, water-cooled 924 and 928 GT cars take over. But noboby will ever forget the 911, no matter what form it took. Owning a Porsche 911 is all about driving it, an experience quite unlike any other car in the world. To quote the great American car magazine, Car & Driver: "Legions of Breathless enthusiasts agree. Neither the perfection, nor the handling, nor the convenience, can justify the great price, only the undissolving Porsche character can." Well - he was ultimately right about the water cooling I have held onto this book since I bought it in '81 (in high school).
