I plan to install them on a 996 C4S using Recaro Pole Position ABE seats.

Anyone experience with either of these?
I plan to install them on a 996 C4S using Recaro Pole Position ABE seats.
I found a used set of brackets locally for half the price of Planted. Is Planted worth it for few more hundreds $ ?
I will be mounting them with Recaro Side Mounts and Recaro Universal Sliders.
I am also still sourcing parts so if you have any, let me know.

Easiest way is to use the recaro parts for the recaro seats. I have yet to put race seats in cars without having to modify or drill something. Every time the parts all say direct fit and it never is.
Allows for good head/helmet clearance, light and inexpensive. Also bolts on directly...no drilling/modifications necessary:

Planted brackets are expensive compared to this.
So this will bolt directly with the Recaro Universal Sliders ? Have you used this before?
Yup ..currently using them for both front seats. I went with Brey Krause brackets on generic sliders and they work perfectly. Recaro brackets will work...used those before the BKs.
I had bought a set of planted brackets for my Recaro PP in my 996 and was thoroughly disappointed with them. They sat too high, were extremely heavy and had completely unnecessary elements to them. They are basically a universal bracket but just were an awkward fit.
I ended up going with the Brey-Krause adapters for recaros. Much cheaper and a perfect fit. They needed zero modifications and just worked like they were supposed to.
I will say I do not love the Recaro sliders. They are OK but the slider adjustment bracket has a tendency to be in the way a little bit.
Enjoy the buckets but pass on the Planted Brackets. Not worth the hype, expensive and awkward size.
