Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://youtu.be/URo0xBzeb8w IPE Innotech valvetronic F1 exhaust on order!!! After much research, sound clip videos and excellent quality reviews i decided to go ahead and get the full IPE exhaust system for my car. The sound is just crazy!!!! As soon as the new system arrive i will post a lot of pictures detailed, complete exhaust valvetronic install (for anyone who want to doit) and of course sound clips with valves open and close. The staff is very nice and prices are great but most important the quality is excellent as done my research. Install should be straight forward as i have some experience with valvetronic install before. This think sound just soooo mean!!!!!

POST 3Original post

Aren't all of those exhaust (Kreissieg etc) high school boy racer annoyingly loud? PSE aftermarket option would be great though.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You can go loud or quiet.that is the all point of valvetronic

POST 5Original post

Quotes source post: 9676193

Right, but with the valves open you end up looking like a 16 year old highschooler if the exhaust has no baffles.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is your opinion.thank you for it

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok my exhaust is finally here and im beyound impressed!! Packaging from IPE was excelent! They send me some cool posters and t-shirt and stickers. After unpacking i reliazed after unpacking the package Ipe really pay atention to detail as the welding and manufacturing is top notch. The install was straight forward folowing the pictured instructions and is definetely easy to do! The provided exhaust tips did not fit my car as i have modified bumper with difuser. So i need mk2 style tips to be able to fit. After contacting IPE they send me new limited edition exhaust tips the same day!!!!! Wow what a service.!! No questions ask So they come on wed and i will install them. For now i use some old tips i have and i did put everthing together and take quick test drive around the house. HOLLY $HI!!!!!!!! What a sound. When the valves are close is little louder then stock but when open that think is amazing!!!! Stay tuned as video coming as soon i have new tips installed.

POST 9Original post

Nice exhaust setup. I heard a sound clip of Innotech's on the new 991..... The sound this exhaust makes is F1 like. You chose to go cat bypass I see. Must be seriously loud at WOT. Post up a video or sound clip when you get time.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks...I will post videos in couple days. Surprisingly while the valves are on off the exhaust is pretty quiet.

POST 11Original post

do u have the option besided open or closed? like half-way open, etc.? great looking set up- m

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes the auto option which is open and close valves depend on your preference via rpm range/throtle position sensor

POST 14Original post

sweet. no pricing on their site, i guess if u have to ask....

POST 16Original post

wow nice finish welds. post video please. Got to be 5k plus.

POST 20Original post

Not sure I like it... I'd have to hear it in person.

POST 21Original post

I like the sound. Not a big fan of tunnel runs though, the harmonics are always a little exaggerated. Bet it sounds sweet in person, enjoy

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 9731236

ya, but the tunnel always more fun still crazy sound,,love it

POST 23Original post

My concern is how it sounds when it's not at WOT and high RPMs. It does sound a little bit more like an F1 car than some other aftermarket exhausts I've heard. That being said, the great sounds of an F1 car come at high RPM. A street car isn't driven at high RPM all the time. My concern would be that this exhaust would be loud and tiring, and that at lower RPMs it would sound like one of the big "fart can" mufflers you see on Hondas and Subarus. I'd really need to hear it in person...

POST 24Original post

Quotes source post: 9732974

I dont think they would make an exhaust system that farts lol... I saw their diff videos before, still sounds good.. but would be cool to see the another videos of his car running in low RPM

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I make some low rpm videos so you can hear

POST 26Original post

Your new system looks very good. If you like the sound, that is really all that matters. How about the weight versus stock, lighter?

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 9738275

Hi and thanks for positive comment.and yes I can care less what people say.I did try all the exhaust out there and this is by far what I like. It is very lightweight and the lbs saving is at least 50% less if not more.nice think is if I want the exhaust quiet airstrip as stock with one click of button is done so late coming home are not killing my neighbors .

POST 28Original post

sounds great, love to hear non tunnel, revving and take off from behind

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well after about week of driving i can't be more happy with the exhaust.Everything work without glitch and sound better and better.I did use Fabspeed valvetronic before but this one i like a lot more better for the big difference between loud and quiet mode. I do highly recommended to consider this exhaust if you in market for it.

POST 30Original post

Quotes source post: 9732974

Dennis, This system is valve activated either automatically or manually, when closed it's similar to a PSE exhaust with valves opened.

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 9746918

never a fan of PSE, rather have aftermarket exhaust system

POST 32Original post

IIRC when they first introduced them here in the states it was around $2k. Dunno if it has gone up or not since.

POST 36Original post

^ not bad. They picked an unlikely set of importers though.
