Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dear All, I am assuming the HVAC motor fan assembly is the same in the n/a and the TT correct? If so can yall help answer these questions before I dive in? Thanks!! 1) It looks like the HVAC control unit is working correctly, Fan does not come on though. 2) It looks pretty easy to get the assembly out. Assuming the controller is sending control the the blower, I should be getting 12 across the electrical connector right? If so, can I do this Key on Engine Off, or does the engine need to be running. I cant remember. 2a) Assuming I have 12 VDC from the car side connector, I simply replace the blower assembly right with one from below right? EDIT: Where is the blower motor resister located? I cant find anything about it at all in my searches... Thanks.

POST 2Original post

There is a speed controller that's in between the control panel and the blower. I would unplug the 2 wires to the blower motor and jump power to the blower motor. If the blower blows replace the speed controller; if not replace the blower.

This is good to know! I figured that would have been built into to the unit in the console. I'll keep this in mind while troubleshooting, Thanks for the help!
