And for the track there are lots of things to do untill setting the whole car as a really efficiency sport one.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK OK..i don't have a real RSR, but most of you know my car. Well I went out today after the Seahawks got CRUSHED by NY and took some pictures on my way home. I am not the best with my little Canon 1100IS but I havent had my local pros take any great pictures. Let me know what you all think. I don't have photoshop or anything to make these look any better (even if I did i wouldn't know what to do with it)
before:
and now after 4 months
some other shots
carbon (exposed under side) hood..not amp rack in trunk
custom MA Shaw rear scoop
added gurney lip
smoked 3rd brake light
carbon door trim
alcantara doors, upper dash panel, and seat inserts
here is why i decided to paint it
a lady in a FJ Cruiser back into my car in Seattle and the tow hitch helped do some damage. nothing crazy to the tub or anything....but alot of cosmetic work. My friend Mike is a crew chief for Porsche race team and he wanted to jump on the project (thank you Mike Zaffee who is a killer mechanic) and pull the motor and my friends at ACC Collision wanted to do it because they were sick of yellow
whoo hoo for me
and interior
updated headliner
white cage and seatbacks
it has the euro RSR bumper...only bumper for rear flares
When it becomes a dedicated track car (down the road) yes it will be gutted. but i still enjoy car shows and tracking the car as often as i can.
Wow! That thing looked bad *** in before... now is simply WICKED!!! WOW!!
something to think about for when I get bored with how my 996TT looks...
Wow, totally awesome mean looking car. Congrats!
Nice fix up...<wow over the top actually>
sorry we never linked up on those lights (Ed in Bellevue) but looks like you managed OK
Hope to see you on the road someday..
hey Ed. i did wonder what happened to you. I still have those lights for sale as a matter of fact! I think you need to buy my Fikse wheels that are for sale
<perks> Wheels???
LOL
I picked up some replacements for mine (stock halogens, plug and play, no wiring) and have been thinking about tightening up this loose goose stock standard worn out suspension... you had some shocks at one point right?
maybe then some wheels / tires
Ed
You've had that car for a number of years haven't you? I recall seeing it in yellow in customer parking at Barrier Motors years and years ago. Yours was the only one I've ever seen in that pale shade of Yellow. Found out later it was a racing color for Porsche.
Bruce you did a good job to get what exactly you wanted and I'm sure your happy with this. But I am probably the only one who disagree.
I don't like cars with big wings and I cannot see the advantages of converting a car with a similar look to Cup cars, if they are not going to the track. And for the track there are lots of things to do untill setting the whole car as a really efficiency sport one.
Sorry about my comments, It's only a aesthetical question, but nevertheless It looks impressive
Like others, I've never liked pimped out street cars and I would not be caught dead driving this one but that doesn't mean I don't like it. It looks pretty damn cool.
Tell us about the drivetrain and suspension.
BTW, you can get a street version of BBS racing wheels that look pretty similar to what came on an RSR. That would be a big improvement.
Way to make the best of a bad situation! I love that racing yellow, but the car just POPS now in white. I especially love how you painted the front of the dash/defroster vent body color. If my car wasn't black I would totally do that, looks so sharp.
I have so many evil ideas now looking at this.
actually got them from Maxspeed via ebay. I didn't want to spend $600+ for them, and the maxspeed looked great for $250.00. i took a chance on them since they had a good reputation, and good return policy. I had one show up with a crack in the carbon, and he shipped me a replacement within 24 hours once i showed him the pictures of the crack.
Thank you. the upper vents really look great, but kind of a pain in sunny weather.
glad i can help with new ideas on the 996
yes that was the same car. Color was PASTEL YELLOW>
Cantrell motorsports setup the car. They are proven winner in IMSA
Ed, I sold the H&R already, but i do have my Fikse FM5 for sale. they would look amazing on your car. We can bolt them up this weekend and see how they look if you want.
car is 99 C2 Pastel yellow
Thank you. I do track the car quite a bit (except this year). The car wasnt finished till august, and i had some loose ends i had to wiat for such as clear bra and small things so lapping is out this year. This car runs very very fast at the track. I also auto-x and took 2nd place in my class behind a GT3 with slicks (i was on street tires and within .2-.5 every event and ahead other cars with slicks)

looks like back on the market people.... cool car. I have no affiliation with the car just posting it as a unique porsche for sale and this thread featured the car etc
Hey everybody.. Been a while! The current owner of the car is a standard up guy and a big enthusiasts.. The previous owner could car less.. He liked it cause it was flashy.
The interior was done by me and not a kit. Well I did have help from my mom whom is a great seamstress. I do have some blue suede for recaro gt3 buckets
Thanks... It has been a while. I just hav my Acura RL and im laying low. Not sure what i want next.
Been enjoying driving my friends 16m for a little over a year.. Wow that car is fun! But i miss Porsche, would love a 996 gt3
Capt- We should wrangle some other 996 & other PCar guys together for some spirited hooliganism. Im down to do it rain or shine.
BTW, I'm taking my 996 to the Ridge on 07/06 if you are interested.
