Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I test drove on the track the new Panamera GTS (not impressed at all), the new 911 and 911 S (both were a blast with reaching speeds of 120 mph), on the autocross, i drove the new boxster S, which has yet to hit showrooms and while it was fun, its not even in the same league as the new 911 or even the older 911's if you ask me and i don't care what the dealers tell you.
Leading evidence: 'Test drove' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test drove' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I received an invite for the Porsche World Road Show up in Monticello next month where they offer you a 3 hour driving experience, which includes a Lead Follow session, an Autocross session and a Technology Drive (i.e. driving a hybrid).
I have never attended one of these before and am wondering if its worth the trip as its a little more than 2 hours from where I live.
Has anyone ever done one of these thru Porsche and if so, I would love some feedback. Thanks.
My wife and I did this in Singapore in 2010 and it was awesome. Even the wife said so.
The way it was set up is as follows:
The venue was airport tarmac.
Groups of about 8 each led by a German Porsche Instructor
Small course (approx 1km) on which you get drive the Panamera, Cayman and 997. Led by the instructor.
Then a Moose test in a 997 Cabrio with all electronics off and trying to control the car. Instructor sits with you.
Then a Road Test in a Cayenne.
Then a circuit (autocross style) with two slaloms and some twisties thrown in in a Boxster Spyder (hope I have the model right). Fastest time in the group gets a prize
Count lunch, refreshments and goodie bags and I reckon it was well worth it.
I would do it again just for giggles.
Where else can you drive every model in the line up ***** out with no worries.
Do it, do it, do it.
Yes I did it with the 997.1, they definitely didn't allow the cars to be driven ***** out, but I guess that is dependant on what you consider ***** out.
It was very hard walking away with out an impulse purchase and the sales people and presentations didn't make it easy.
Did you sign up this morning? I tried signing up yesterday but the last registration screen is telling me that all 3 days are full. Just checked and it's still saying they are all full.
I signed up as soon as i received the invite so i wouldn't get left out in the cold. If i decided not to go based upon what everyone else said, i figured i could always go back and cancel it but i'm definitely going as it sound like a great way to spend an afternoon
My invitation arrived around 4PM (EST) on Wednesday. Just before 8PM that same day, I tried to sign up and I got a message saying all three days are full.
For the moose test and the autotest course it was ***** out for us. Instructors instructions were "pedal to the metal".
And you're right about the impulse purchase. Wife was an instant convert. Few months later we had purchased our 1st P-car. 2002 996 C2 Manual.
And the rest as they say is history .....
Be aware, i was told minimum age for drivers is 21 and they don't let underage passengers in the car with you for the drives. As a result, my son is staying home and taking a friend instead
I attended the Porsche World Road show this past weekend up at Monticello Raceway in NY and it was an absolute blast. It was fun to drive but its completely different than the 911 no matter how much they try and convince you its close to it. Last but not least, i drove the Cayenne S and the Cayenne S Hybrid and was very surprised at how well they performed. Not worth spending $125k+ for an SUV in my mind but if you have cash to burn, it is quite nice, powerful and handled extremely well for an SUV.
If you ever get an invite for an event like this, don't pass it up as it is a great time to be had by anyone who goes.
