Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

For the headlight I bought some headlight protection film and once they were on I used a blade to cut the center part following the lines that are already on the headlight.

I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we've been having in CT and gave my C4S a thorough cleaning last weekend.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My car is just back from a little detailing so I felt like giving a try to taking pictures at night in my parking garage. I always love empty parking garage shots but they are really not that easy to make. With the help of photoshop I manage to salvage those two shots, let me know what you think and post more
Very Nice!, I think the tint on the headlamps look great, is it the gunmetal shade? The paint, is it it slate grey?
your pics make me really miss my '03 while she's in the shop.
The color is Slate grey indeed, it was a special option color and it is a little darker than the other Porsche grey.
I'll post the original shots tomorrow and you will be amazed how much photo retouching can do to an average 'out of the camera' shot. There were cars in the background and stuff but you'll see
Sharp, well exposed and nice lighting. Histogram on the first shot looks good. The car also looks HOT. Can you explain how you did the headlight modification?
For the headlight I bought some headlight protection film and once they were on I used a blade to cut the center part following the lines that are already on the headlight. Took me a couple of time as I was hardly pressing on the film to avoid marking the headlight cover. But there is a line on the headlight anyways so it should be hardly noticeable even if you mark it a bit.
It is a bit scary considering the price of those headlight but I got a rock chip on one of them so I wanted them protected as much as possible anyways. Also I am a sucker for the oval headlights.
After studying the pictures, although it certainly looks good, I'm not sure this is a real Porsche.
The problem is, it looks like an empty garage, but there isn't anything parked next to it!
Not sure if a silver car would look as good, the film makes the car look more like a 997 because the dark film blends in with the dark color car, more so on a dark grey/black type of color, I might try it on my car come spring time.
Not sure if it's the angle of the picture or lighting but I'm not felling the headlight mod. In the picture that area looks darker than the body paint which gives the front end a "black eye" look. Perhaps you can post other photos that give a different look at it.
To me one of the key reasons you buy a 996 vs other Porsche's is the appeal of the non "frog eye" style headlights....but that's another debate.....
no the champions wheels are actually 19", the one on the car in the pics are 18" knock offs that I run a rain tires for the track. the 19" champion are really much nicer looking.
I hate my BB Torch but I love my C4S.
I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we've been having in CT and gave my C4S a thorough cleaning last weekend. Since the car was all clean and it's basically December, I also took the opportunity to install the hardtop.
I'd only driven it once or twice with the hardtop installed and I forgot how much it quieted things down inside the cabin. It's almost like a different car! I already miss the sound of the Fabspeed exhaust through the soft top but, on the plus side, the hardtop does look kind of sleek on the car.
