Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 911 that has a clutch issue. The clutch pedal when push goes to the floor. You can pull the pedal back up and it stays up, but as soon as you go to push it, it goes back to the floor. I was told the clutch runs off the brake system or something like that. Well when I checked the brake fluid was empty. And that would cuase the air in the line. But the hydraulic was still full. I could use all the advice possible before sending it to the shop. Thanks

POST 2Original post

ummmm... well brake fluid in the system is probably a good thing to start with. It helps to have working master/slave cylinders. Along with not having any leaks. And being bled properly. But aside from that, my guess is, fluid topped off, brakes and clutch bled and you'll be back off in no time. Here's a DIY if you are interested: http://pedrosgarage.com/Site_3/Bleed...26_Clutch.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does the brake fluid being low have any effect on the clutch.

POST 4Original post

Certainly. Did you look at that link I provided you. Spells it out pretty clearly...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah I look and saved the link I just wanted to make sure. The hydraulic fluid was full just the brake fluid wa low.
