Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Locking the car emits a chirp and interior lights come on (2001 c4 cab tip rhd). Foxwell code reader says all locked, but shows Input 1 in Open state. Anyone know what Input 1 refers to pls?

POST 2Original post

Not sure about your code, but I have noticed that mine will chirp when the center console lid is not closed completely. You might double check that it is closed good.

POST 3Original post

Quotes source post: 20623308

What's the actual error code? I can take a look in the service manual and try to identify it

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 20623346

There is no error code reported. Im looking st live data from the alarn module with the central locking enabled.

POST 5Original post

Anything with a latch or an actual lock is attached to the security/locking system (they all have electronic micro switches). Frunk, engine lid, doors, center console glove box, etc.. Identifying which one is the culprit may be a little tricky - not sure if Durametric can do this or not good luck

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Durametric doesn't provide live data for the alarm module, hence using Foxwell to monitor it. I still dont know what "Input 1" is, but through a process of elimination ive worked out the issue was with my aftermarket head unit. Id hard wired the anti theft ground wired to the new radio chassis .. turns out thats the opposite of what is required. Cable tucked away now I'd chirp gone.
