Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am afraid it will drain the battery, even though I had put the car on storage for weeks and never had a problem with battery but still I'd like to have this solved.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Today I was in the garage, looking at my front suspension so I removed the plastic side panel in the trunk and I heard a very low humming/buzz coming from the alarm horn. You really have to put your ear on the horn to ear it, but it is clearly there. I am afraid it will drain the battery, even though I had put the car on storage for weeks and never had a problem with battery but still I'd like to have this solved. For information, I do have a problem with my alarm, as when I lock the car, the horn honk. I need to narrow down where is the problem, last time my dealer told me they could look for it but it was late and I had to pickup the car that day. May be I should have let them debug that. Anyways, anybody has any idea why I have the humming/buzz/static noise on my alarm horn when the car is off. The noise is there as soon as I remove the key form the ignition. Alarm on or off, no difference.

I have a similar issue that drained my battery very quick. Initially it was a hum...to intermittent 'honk' when driving...to a constant 'honk' when driving. My root issue comes from something loose in the steering wheel. I haven't resolved the issue other than removing the connection to the horn.
